The Tillinghast Nightmare

Filmmaker Alec Asten and partner Judith Nutkis have launched a Kickstarter campaign to seek out backing for their new project, The Tillinghast Nightmare.  The documentary will examine 1799 Exeter, RI  and beyond with attention to the practice of medicine, burials, plebeian ideas about dreams and the supernatural and the beliefs of churches regarding demons.

These topics will be discussed in the context of Sarah Tillinghast's exhumation and exorcism for vampirism.  The Kickstarter campaign and Facebook page are part of developing a fan base for their doucmentaries and narratives on legends that evoke the supernatural.
